Guitar Hero is the best rock game ever. Brand-new Guitar Hero 5 has the best band list of them all. And we have Guitar Hero 5 on the Xbox 360 to give away!
The Guitar Hero 5 band list impressed us mightily - Jimmy Eats World? Blur? Iggy Pop? Johnny Cash? Wolfmother? Awesome. As with previous Guitar Hero games, several musicians with works in the game have been modeled through motion capture for avatars in the game, including Johnny Cash, Carlos Santana, and Kurt Cobain.
But Guitar Hero 5 (release date 11 Sep 09) has a host of new features as well as songs.
The first is a "Party Play" mode, which allows players to jump into a band or drop out even in the middle of a song, and switch instruments or difficulty levels while playing. The second feature is a "RockFest" mode, which can be played by four players locally or eight online, with several sub-modes that influence how the game is played and scored.
