CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: CRUELTY TO CATS AND DOGS

Cats and dogs have always hated each other. Since the first wolf thought that he could easily take on the sabre toothed tiger, the two have fought each other like, well, cat and dog. I want to stop this. I have to stop this. It's my new mission.
Dogs are stupid, they will never evolve past their immediate gratification. But cats are smart, they're the ones I need to work on and work on them young. I tried just introducing the kittens to the puppies, but the dogs would get all stupid and start prodding the kittens, who would then either lash out with vicious talons or run away and hiss a lot. The damage at that stage was already done, this first lot were never going to get on.
I needed some way to keep the little critters together, so they could work something out between them and end generations of hostility.
Staples were the answer.
I got the second litters and spent a happy day stapling them together. I tried to make them look good, pairing each fluffy kitten with an appropriate puppy. It was long and hard work, but I count that day as one of my favourites.
The puppies were naturally fine with all of this, a benefit of their stupidity. Some of the kittens had problems and would scratch and claw, really giving the impression of being in severe pain. I observed their behaviour, whenever there wasn't anything worth watching on the television.
Slowly, they began to work together as a team, realising that their mutual survival depended upon them looking out for each other. An almost literal symbiotic relationship was developing.
I'm a busy girl, and have a life. It's not all about the stapling of dogs and kittens. But, through my genius and torture, I had finally brought peace to the cat and dog world.
