Let's have a little froth about girl bands!
by JosieJadore
Girl bands: The last couple of years have seen the rise of both the female solo singer and the band frontwoman. JosieJadore picks a couple of musical female-fronted treats from Industrial to Folk Rock for you to smack your lips on.

Music is constantly changing these days! There are so many bands/artists out there that I can hardly keep up with them all. The most exciting change is the increase in bands with female lead singers! Usually bands are male-fronted, and bands like the seminal Blondie tended to be the exception, not the rule. Nothing against the males, but I am finding this new change very pleasing.
However, there have been a few bands out there that had female fronters (like Amy Lee of Evanescence), so I thought I would kick off this celebration with some bands that I've come across.
Consider this a little treat. These bands/artists are from all different types of genres. Since there are so many different types of music, I thought it would be easier to mix it up and give you a taste of all of them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

JosieJadore: I'm hard to remember, but impossible to forget. I am a very unique person and I guarentee you will never find another person quite like me. I have many passions in life, but my biggest passion is music. I love to listen to music, write lyrics, and I love to play guitar. Among other things in life, I love to write as well. Life is full of surprises and I can say the same for myself. See my video blogs on
