Pinspire Feminism competition winners

Pinspire Feminism competition winners

The people at Pinspire kindly helped Mookychick make Pinspire more feminist and arts and crafty with a competition. We are pleased to say that feminism on Pinspire is now alive and well!

You’ve all heard of Pinterest? Pinspire is a more global affair (Europe, South America, Asia, South Africa and Asia). Pinspire has over 300,000 users and 45,000 Facebook fans – but as of 1 March 2012 it didn’t have nearly enough feminist content for Mookychick’s liking. Pinspire worked with us to set up a competition, and we’re pleased to say that the results are great. Feminist content on Pinspire is now alive and well!

With three lovely Amazon vouchers to give away, we encouraged Mookychick readers to get on Pinspire and start populating it with the content they’d like to see. Soon, we had our hands full browsing through DIY arts and crafts ideas, beautiful photography, notable women in history and inspiring feminist quotes. It was really hard to choose three winners, as all the entries were so good…

Thank you to the winners and all the talented contestants for helping to get feminism on Pinspire. In the words of Erica Jong: “I don’t think you will ever fully understand how you’ve touched my life and made me who I am. I don’t think you could ever know just how truly special you are that even on the darkest nights you are my brightest star.”
