Once upon a time a budding artist and crafter decided to teach some sunny little art courses to other people also interested in creating stuff. After a few happy months of playing with ideas, creating works, crafting, studying, printmaking and generally making a good old mess, in 2003, Magenta Sky was born, and that budding artist was Susan Yeates.
“I set up Magenta Sky Arts and Crafts in 2003, just after I left university as a part-time venture. It began as a way of selling my crafts and also teaching printmaking courses and workshops in various venues (including Farnham Maltings). Since then I have expanded to teach more classes in different crafts and started working as an arts author self-publishing colour art books. I now have a small range of art and craft books available to buy in printmaking (Learning Linocut), crochet (Amigurumi Animals) and Christmas crafts (Make Your Own Christmas Tree Decorations). All three books can be found on http://www.magenta-sky.com.”
