CREATIVE BEAUTY: Florence and the Machine’s new tracks for a Final Fantasy XV EP are a witchwork of collaboration with Emile Haynie (producer, Lana Del Rey).

Songs from Final Fantasy XV is Florence and the Machine‘s first release since their 2015 album How Big How Blue How Beautiful. It’s strongly making us want to visit the FF universe and bathe in pools of light…

NEW TRAILER:

The three EP tracks include:

  • The sweeping strings and emotive vocals and HARP, YES HARP of Too Much Is Never Enough
  • Puresweetsadfierce FF ballad I Will Be (what would any modern Final Fantasy game be without a ballad?)
  • And, finally, a wrenching version of Ben E. King’s classic Stand By Me.

Florence doesn’t think any other game would fit her music:

“FINAL FANTASY and my own internal landscape seemed to fit well, it’s mythical and beautiful and epic. I’ve always seen FINAL FANTASY as a beautiful and creative game so I don’t think I could have worked with another video game. It wouldn’t have made sense.”

Florence + the Machine’s Songs from FINAL FANTASY XV is available now on iTunes.
