Autumn Equinox at Stonehenge

Willow winds whisper
Druid enchantment
across barrows of Stonehenge Cursus.
Ancient, chipped rectangular stones
coiled in Danu’s emerald moss –
inch to inch from each other,
forming a ritualistic circle.
Golden-orange sunset
behind emerald cursus,
stroking its’ majestic colors
into the light-blue skies
and penetrating through charcoal cracks,
reaching its’ center, igniting
a baryon pile of fresh cut Aspen.
Golden-russet flames arose,
performing its’ Gaelic dance,
following Cláirseach’s harmonious strings,
steady beats of the Bodhráns,
and hooded figures with amber eyes
bellowing Georgian chants
underneath the Autumn Equinox sky.
